Baby Memorial Hospital, Kozhikode, marked the successful conclusion of the 75-day All-India CPR Literacy Expedition with a special reception for the expedition team, who reached the hospital as their final destination. The nationwide initiative covered more than 20 states and over 16,000 kilometres, with the goal of spreading awareness and practical knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation among the public.
The expedition team, Aneesh Issac, Ashik Bobby, Aswin Francis, Akhil Viswanath, and Lijumol TV, were warmly received at the hospital by Dr. Ananth Mohan Pai, Cluster CEO, Kozhikode and Vadakara. In recognition of their commitment to saving lives through education, the team was felicitated during a formal programme held at the hospital.
Dr. Fabith Moideen delivered the presidential address, highlighting the importance of CPR literacy in improving survival outcomes during medical emergencies. Dr. K. G. Alexander, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Baby Memorial Hospital, congratulated the team and appreciated their extraordinary efforts in carrying CPR awareness to communities across the country.
The event was attended by Dr. Vineeth Abraham, Director; Ms. Poornima Raja, Chief Operating Officer, BMH Kozhikode; Mr. Ramasubramaniam, Group Chief – Sales and Marketing; Dr. Rinoop Ramachandran, Deputy Chief and Senior Consultant – Emergency Medicine; and Dr. Arun Mathew, Senior Consultant – Internal Medicine, along with other hospital leaders and staff members.
The successful completion of the expedition reflects a shared commitment to community health and emergency preparedness, reinforcing Baby Memorial Hospital’s ongoing efforts to promote life-saving skills and public health awareness beyond the hospital setting.
