Baby Memorial Hospital Payyanur Launches 24/7 Snake Bite and Critical Care Unit


Payyanur: In a significant move to enhance emergency medical services in the region, Baby Memorial Hospital Payyanur has officially inaugurated its specialized Snake Bite and Critical Care Unit. This marks the first time Payyanur will have access to a dedicated facility offering round-the-clock expertise from Nephrology, Neurology, and Critical Care specialists specifically for snakebite management.

The unit was inaugurated by Mr. Niroop Mundayadan, CEO of the Kannur Cluster. During his keynote address, he emphasized the critical need for such a facility in Payyanur. He also took the opportunity to address common societal misconceptions regarding snakebites and highlighted the technical proficiency of the medical team and the advanced infrastructure available at the new unit.
