The Paediatrics and Neonatology Department at BMH Vadakara provides complete health supervision, preventive care, and expert management of acute and chronic illnesses for infants, children, and adolescents. We emphasize routine and preventive health through developmental monitoring, growth assessment, and comprehensive Vaccination Clinic services. We offer expert management of acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and complex paediatric cases, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach with collaboration from other hospital specialties. For critically ill older children our specialized Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is fully equipped and staffed by experts to provide the highest level of life support and intensive monitoring.

Our team of Paediatricians and nurses provides compassionate care in a child-friendly environment focused on reducing anxiety and promoting comfort for young patients. The Department of Neonatology concentrates on the medical and surgical management of newborns and premature babies. The department has highly qualified neonatologists, paediatricians, and nurses who are well trained in advanced newborn care. Our team of neonatologists and paediatricians are available round the clock to provide clinical management and support to critically ill premature and full-term babies.

Our state-of-the-art Level-III NICU is fully equipped and manned, offering advanced respiratory support for babies with breathing difficulties, including high-frequency ventilation. We maintain a comprehensive policy towards infection control with the use of high-end HEPA filters and isolated arrangements of beds in the NICU to actively avoid cross-infection. Essential diagnostics, including X-ray, CT, MRI, USG Cranium, as well as cardiac and respiratory monitoring, are readily available at our facility.
