Overview

The Department of Neurointervention and Neuroradiology at Baby Memorial Hospital provides advanced care for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke and neurovascular disorders. It is the first in Kerala and the second in India to be accredited as an Advanced Stroke Centre by QAI-CAHSC, meeting high standards in quality and emergency response. The department operates round the clock, equipped with CT and MRI imaging, emergency thrombolysis, mechanical thrombectomy, and dedicated neuro-ICU support to ensure timely and effective stroke management.

The team performs a wide range of neurointerventional procedures, including aneurysm coiling, AVM embolisation, and carotid stenting, to restore blood flow and prevent complications. A multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, and critical care specialists work together to provide accurate diagnosis, targeted treatment, and comprehensive rehabilitation.
