Prof. Ashokan Nambiar C

Prof. Ashokan Nambiar C is a distinguished Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Head of the Department of Cardiology at Baby Memorial Hospital, Calicut. With over 42 years of experience in adult and paediatric cardiology, he is one of the most respected veterans in the Indian cardiac care landscape.

An alumnus of AIIMS, New Delhi, and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Prof. Nambiar has delivered optimal treatment outcomes across three generations of cardiac patients. He formerly served as Professor and HOD of Cardiology at Government Medical College, Calicut, contributing significantly to academic cardiology in Kerala.

His core expertise lies in comprehensive cardiac evaluation, echocardiography (including transoesophageal echocardiography), catheterisation, and the interpretation of complex diagnostics for evidence-based cardiac treatment. He also leads clinical research and academic training programmes at BMH, nurturing future generations of cardiologists.
